Trescott was first settled in 1785 and incorporated in 1827. It is a quiet seaside residential community. Picturesque Bailey's Mistake is located on Boot Cove Road, South Trescott. Near Bailey's Mistake, there is a 110-foot gash in the coastline, into which the tides and surf rush - creating a spectacular thunder
hole.
