Lubec Seed Library Opens!

The Seed Library is gearing up for the second growing season; sponsored again by the Lubec Memorial Library, the Lubec Garden Club and the Lubec Community Outreach Center. Thanks to generous donors we are continuing the gardening tradition here in Lubec. We have seeds for every style of garden: organic, vegetable, herb, or flower. We will be filling varieties as we receive them and should be fully stocked by mid-April. Stop in often to see what's available. If you have a special request let us know and we can try to find it for you. And if you have some seeds to donate, we will be happy to use them.
Join us on Saturday, April 20th from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Seed Library, which is located inside the Lubec Memorial Library near the service desk. We will have a garden raffle with some cute items and a garden club member will be on hand to answer questions on seed starting, gardening and use of the seed library. Cookies and lemonade will be served also.
The seeds are arranged alphabetically. We have seed envelopes and other supplies so that you can take just a few seeds, several seeds or an entire pack depending on your needs. Start your garden here at the library!
