Machias River Wigwams Program

The Downeast Salmon Federation and the Cobscook Community Learning Center are working together to put on a two week experience for teens interested in outdoor careers. This co-ed youth crew will live at the Wigwams Rapid on the Machias River and work together with professionals doing trail work, salmon habitat restoration and participating in an archaeological dig.

Hunter Safety Course at CCLC

The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife's Hunter Education Course is more than a "gun safety" class. The basic mandatory course consists of classroom instruction. Each course is taught by a trained, certified volunteer instructor according to statewide standards.
