HighTide, a small modernist retreat located on West Quoddy Head, is the most eastern private home in the continental United States. Located on the eastern side of the 26 acre 1840’s Quoddy House rental property (https://www.quoddy.house/), HighTide offers shared access to the private Quoddy House beach, but complete privacy from the Quoddy House rental with separate drive-in access at 863 South Lubec Road. The property is bordered on the north by the water (Lubec Channel) and on the east and south by West Quoddy Head State Park. HighTide provides guests with a unique opportunity to spend their time in Maine surrounded by nature, nestled in the forest, with beautiful views of the water and soaring eagles, all literally a stone’s throw from the hiking paths and coastal vistas of West Quoddy Head State Park. Here, you can have a truly unique vacation!
HighTide accommodates a maximum of 4 persons. Please note that HighTide may not be suitable for all - access to the living area on the second story is from the second story deck, with an interior spiral staircase leading to the sleeping quarters on the third floor. While the views of Campobello Island, South Lubec Bay, and the Bay of Fundy from the second and third floor decks are spectacular, young children should be closely supervised.
RATES: May through October (weekly only, from Saturday to Saturday): $1500.00 per week ($2750 for two weeks) plus 9.0% Maine sales tax. Ten percent discount if you provide your own linens (sheets and towels).
$100.00 cleaning fee.
$500.00 refundable security deposit.
Paid in full by 30 days prior to arrival (personal check or cash).
Please note that we have a no smoking policy at HighTide, and are not able to accommodate dogs or other pets. There is no wifi, no telephone, and no TV at HighTide - here, you can truly get away from it all and enjoy nature as never before!
