October Art Exhibit - Mark David Smith

Location: Lubec Memorial Library, Lubec
The most recent collection for this show is a series of 10 prints capturing scenes from my home in Downeast Maine. These signed and numbered, limited edition prints are digitally drawn using my own photographs and memory as reference. Each piece is printed on acid-free, 100% cotton rag paper with archival pigment ink. Also, framed with solid wood and acrylic glazing.
About Mark David Smith
Living in Maine for almost 40 years my work has been influenced by all of the natural beauty of Maine. I started painting at a young age and received a BFA from Pratt Institute School of Art & Design. After graduating I practiced graphic design in New York City and Portland, Maine. Now I'm focused on my love of creating fine art. The visual aesthetic in my work originates from my experiences in natural and built environments and to capture colors, shapes, and textures inspired by those experiences. In the formation of the composition I use these visual elements to create an image that has balance and movement. My work is in private collections, corporate and public spaces, and online galleries Zatista and Image Conscious.
