The Secret World of Words with Sasha Borenstein

Please join us for a special presentation from Sasha Borenstein about the complexity, nuance, beauty and elegance of the English language!
She will share how the seemingly bizarre labyrinth of spelling and reading English words can be understood through the history of the language's evolution.
Sasha has over 50 years' experience as a literacy educator for all ages and abilities and is the author of How to Teach Reading and Spelling, Bringing the Science of Reading into the Classroom. She currently directs the "Wiggles and Giggles" program at the Lubec library, introducing our youngest readers and spellers to the wonderful world of words.
