During this self-directed studio work, students can explore their own creative interests and develop their skills further. The instructor will be available to offer advice and feedback on their work, as well as provide technical guidance if needed.
Students may want to come to class prepared with a clear idea of what they want to work on. This may involve sketching out designs or researching new techniques that they want to experiment with. Students should also take advantage of the resources available to them in the studio, such as the pottery wheel, hand-building tools, glazes, and kiln.
This self-directed studio work in an intermediate pottery class is an opportunity for students to take ownership of their learning and creative process, and to continue to develop their skills and explore their own artistic interests.
