Yoga Workshop and Masterclass
Jul 23, Time: 9 am - noon
Location: Cobscook Institute, 10 Commissary Point Rd, Trescott
Through this Workshop & Masterclass you can expect to increase your knowledge and experience of the movements of the shoulder joint, allowing for optimal posture, and ultimately how to cultivate vulnerability.
This workshop will aim to demystify the connections between the shoulders, our posture and vulnerability. Our working definition of vulnerability comes from Brené Brown, who says, “Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity.” We will explore how these emotions and states are reflected in our posture and shoulder position, while also addressing the basics of anatomy and movements of the shoulder. A yoga masterclass will also be offered to explore these concepts in the context of movement, while supporting optimal posture.
