The village of Edmunds (unincorporated territories) includes part of Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge. The Edmunds area also includes Cobscook Bay State Park  where every August the Downeast Amateur Astronomers hold their Maine State Star Party!    A short distance beyond the Park entrance, boaters will find a good public launching site.

Tide Mill Organic Farm, founded in 1765 with grist mills using tidal power, now includes the ninth generation of the Bell family in diverse agricultural endeavors.
